Warriors Open Season With Win Over Stanton

San Dimas, CA - The Warriors opened up their season with a non-conference matchup against the newly opened, Stanton University.  With the game being the first one of the season, there was rust on both sides as the teams combined for 42 turnovers on the game, with LPU being responsible for 25 of them.  Despite the sloppy play, the Warriors were able to come out victorious, closing the game out in the 2nd half, thanks to stellar play from Jordan Jones.  Jones finished the game with 18 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks.  Life Pacific won the game by a final score of 72-57.  With the win, LPU improves to 1-0 on the season and will head down the 57 to Fullerton, to take on NCAA DI opponent, Cal State Fullerton, in an exhibition matchup on Saturday.
