Warriors Power Past Westcliff Behind Smith’s Dominant Night

San Dimas, Calif. — Life Pacific Men's Basketball closed out Thanksgiving weekend with an impressive 85–76 home victory over Westcliff University, fueled by elite efficiency from the field and another breakout performance from sophomore guard Jayceon Smith.

 

Smith was unstoppable all night, pouring in 26 points on 11-of-14 shooting, while adding 8 rebounds and 4 assists. His ability to score at the rim, control pace, and create for teammates anchored an LPU offense that shot 55.6% from the floor.

 

The Warriors (6–3) took a 44–37 lead into halftime behind a balanced scoring attack, then maintained control throughout the second half with strong interior play and timely stops. Life Pacific outscored Westcliff 46–30 in the paint, consistently attacking inside to generate high-percentage opportunities.

 

LPU also owned the glass, winning the rebounding battle 33–23, including 8 offensive boards that turned into second-chance scores. The Warriors' defensive pressure created 24 points off turnovers, a critical difference-maker against a Westcliff team that shot 49% overall.

 

Life Pacific's offense was clicking at every level:
