LPU Welcomes Dalon Parker as Head Men's Soccer Coach

San Dimas, CA – Life Pacific University Athletics is pleased to announce the hiring of Dalon Parker as the new Head Men's Soccer Coach.

Parker brings more than a decade of experience as a collegiate head coach and athletic administrator, with a proven record of competitive success, academic excellence, and program sustainability across the collegiate, semi-professional, club, and high school levels. A former collegiate soccer and basketball player with post-collegiate basketball experience, Parker applies a multi-sport development lens to building culture, performance systems, and long-term student-athlete growth.

Parker most recently served as the Head Men's Soccer Coach at Providence University in Montana.  Prior to that, he spent seven years at Multnomah University as the Director of Soccer and Head Coach for both the men's and women's programs. During his tenure, he led the men's program to its first conference tournament appearance in school history, guided the women's program to its highest conference finishes, and produced the most combined wins in program history across both programs. His teams consistently excelled in the classroom, maintaining GPAs above 3.8 while earning 28 Academic All-Conference selections, 20 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes, 9 CSC Academic All-District honorees, and 2 CSC Academic All-Americans.

Across his coaching career, Parker has coached NAIA All-Americans, developed more than 40 athletes who advanced to collegiate competition, and guided players into professional opportunities.  In addition, Parker has founded and directed a UPSL men's soccer organization and has experience as an Assistant Women's Basketball Coach, contributing in areas including defense, recruiting, operations, and player development.

Parker holds a Master of Science in Business and Leadership from Multnomah University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Dallas Christian College. He is widely recognized for building high-accountability cultures that align competitive excellence with academic achievement and holistic student-athlete development.

Faith plays a central role in Parker's approach to coaching and leadership. He shared, "Coaching is a calling and my blessing. I believe sport is one of the most powerful tools to shape character, teach discipline, and prepare young people for life beyond athletics. My goal is to develop complete student-athletes—strong competitors, accountable students, and impactful people." His coaching philosophy emphasizes servant leadership, prioritizing God first, others second, and self last, while using athletics as a platform to develop character, purpose, and lifelong relationships.

Originally from Duncanville, Texas, Parker is deeply family-oriented and values mentorship and community. He and his wife, Sarah, are proud parents to their son, Elijah. Outside of coaching, Parker enjoys music, movies, community involvement, and mentoring young athletes.

Life Pacific University Athletics is excited to welcome Dalon Parker to the LPU family and looks forward to the leadership and competitive excellence he will bring to the men's soccer program and the broader university community.
