Warriors Compete in First Cross Country Meet
SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – Life Pacific fielded 8 runners for the TMU Mustang Challenge at Central Park in Santa Clarita, CA. The Mustang Challenge was the first meet of the 2018 season.
Five of the eight runners for the Warriors are first-time cross-country runners that were able to use Saturday's meet as a chance to see what NAIA cross-country is all about. Freshman, Pedro Leal-Cruz led his team by finishing the 8k race with a time of 31:19.5. Pedro has shown potential in his very first meet as a cross-country runner.
"Having this be my second year running cross country and having new teammates who have never ran before is exciting because you see how God gives us the endurance and strength to push through these long and hard events. Seeing my teammates push themselves to new limits shows that we as a team are getting stronger and our main goal is to get better as a team and let teams know that LP Cross Country is on the rise!" – Juaquin Zavala
The Warriors will continue their season on 10/6 at the Pomona Pitzer Invitational.
