Warriors Open Season at CSUSB Coyote Invitational
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - The LPU Cross-Country teams opened up their season at the Cal State San Bernardino Coyote Invitational this morning. The Warriors pushed hard in their first meet and Head Coach Martin Gonzalez considered the event to be a successful outing for LPU. "Could not be more pleased with how our student-athletes finished the race today," said Gonzalez. "I was excited to see the level of intensity that everyone was able to perform with as we met our team goals. And we did it in a very convincing fashion. The teams are motivated to improve by minutes from today's official time results."
The Women's team was led by Lauryn Carroll (FR/Palm Springs, CA) and the top Men's team finisher was Anthony Vargas (JR/Moreno Valley, CA). The Warriors will race again next week as they travel to Santa Clarita, CA for The Mustang Challenge on 9/28/19.
