Warriors Tie Program Win Record With 6-0 Start

Redlands, CA - On Wednesday evening, the Warriors looked to continue their hot start to the season as they traveled to Redlands to take on NCAA D3 opponent, the University of Redlands.  Defense, perimeter shooting, and unselfish play, is what led to the Warrior's success in Wednesday night's matchup.  The Warriors were able to take control of the game half way through the 1st quarter and never looked back, as they pushed their lead at the half to double-digits.  In the 2nd half, thanks to hot shooting from the perimeter (12-23 from 3-pt range), they were able to push the lead to 20 and closed the game out with a final score of 77-60.  Faith Schwantner had her best game in an LPU uniform, as she finished with 18 points, 8 assists, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals.  Kyori Lloyd finished with 17 points and 6 rebounds.  Sophia Ganino was perfect from the perimeter as she was 4-4 and finished with 12 points off of the bench.  Rachel Spinosa did a little bit of everything as she had 11 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks.  With the win (6-0), LPU tied the program record for wins, dating back to last season when they finished with 6 wins.
