Warriors Dominate Bethesda for First Win of the Season
San Dimas, Calif. — The Life Pacific University women's basketball team opened its home slate in convincing fashion, earning its first win of the season with a 71–26 victory over Bethesda University at Mehl Court.
The Warriors (1–0) stormed out to a 26–0 lead after the first quarter and never looked back, putting together one of the most complete two-way performances in recent memory. LPU held Bethesda to just 18.9% shooting from the field and 15.8% from three-point range, while dominating the glass with a 56–30 rebounding advantage.
On offense, Life Pacific showcased balance and efficiency, with four players scoring in double figures and 22 team assists on 28 made baskets.
Adrianna Torres led the way with 16 points and 5 assists, knocking down four three-pointers on an impressive 6-for-8 shooting night. Ebony Cooper also tallied 16 points, adding 3 rebounds and going a perfect 3-for-3 from the free-throw line. Rylee Roy provided a strong inside presence with 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists, while Kailey New filled the stat sheet with 8 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists.
Rachel Spinosa added 9 points and 4 assists, hitting three shots from beyond the arc, and Kiana Salcedo anchored the boards with a team-high 9 rebounds off the bench.
The Warriors' offense flowed from start to finish, shooting 41.8% from the floor, while the defense forced 12 turnovers and converted them into 14 points. Life Pacific also outscored Bethesda 30–10 in the paint and held the Firebirds scoreless through the first 10 minutes of play — a defensive statement to open the 2025–26 campaign.
