Balanced Attack, Strong Defense Lift Warriors to Home Victory

San Dimas, CA - The Life Pacific University women's basketball team secured their second win of the season with a convincing 67–39 victory over Stanton University at home Wednesday night. The Warriors set the tone early with a commanding 23–11 first-quarter lead and never looked back, showcasing balance on offense and intensity on the defensive end.

 

Four players scored in double figures, led by Ysabel Puente and Ebony Cooper, who each tallied 10 points. Puente also filled the stat sheet with 7 rebounds and 5 assists, while Cooper added 5 rebounds on an efficient 4-for-6 shooting night. Sophia Abella provided a spark off the bench with 10 points, 4 assists, and 3 steals, while Jaelyn Ramos contributed 8 points and 8 rebounds, giving the Warriors valuable energy in the paint.

 

Life Pacific dominated the glass, outrebounding Stanton 50–29, and capitalized on extra opportunities with 21 points off turnovers. The Warriors' bench also made a major impact, outscoring Stanton's reserves 36–19.

 

The win marks another strong defensive performance, as the Warriors held Stanton to just 28% shooting from the field and only 3 points in the second quarter. Life Pacific improves to 2–1 on the season and will look to continue building momentum heading into their next matchup.
