Warriors Defense Propels Them To 57–42 Win Over Cal Maritime

San Dimas, Calif. — The Life Pacific University Women's Basketball team wrapped up its final home game of the homestand with a convincing 57–42 victory over Cal Maritime on Saturday night. The Warriors improved to 3–1 on the season with a balanced effort on both ends of the floor.

After a tightly contested first half, Life Pacific broke the game open in the third quarter, outscoring Cal Maritime 21–8 behind efficient ball movement and strong interior play.

Sophomore guard, Rylee Royled the charge with an all-around performance — 7 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 steals, controlling the glass and setting the tone defensively. Rachel Spinosa added a team-high 16 points and 8 rebounds, showing consistency from midrange.

The Warriors dominated the boards, outrebounding Cal Maritime 51–40, and held the Keelhaulers to just 28% shooting from the field. Ebony Cooper chipped in 9 points and 8 rebounds, while Ysabel Puente was steady with 11 points on 5-of-11 shooting.

Life Pacific's third-quarter surge proved decisive as the team shot 56% from the field and forced several turnovers to build a double-digit lead they never surrendered.

The Warriors will now turn their attention to the road, looking to build on early-season momentum as they continue non-conference play before opening up GSAC competition later next month.
