Puente Named GSAC Offensive Player of the Week

San Dimas, Calif. — Life Pacific University Athletics is proud to announce Ysabel Puente as the GSAC Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week.  This is the first time that a LPU Women's Basketball player has received this honors.

Puente earned the conference honor after an outstanding weekend leading the Warriors offensively in their two GSAC contests. She averaged 23.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game, while shooting 46.7% from the field and an impressive 94.4% from the free throw line.  Puente opened the week with a dominant double-double performance in Life Pacific's 57–49 victory over La Sierra, finishing with 24 points and 10 rebounds while playing all 40 minutes. She followed that performance with 23 points and 6 rebounds against Arizona Christian, converting all eight of her free throw attempts and continuing to provide consistent offensive production.

Across the two games, Puente totaled 47 points and 16 rebounds, proving to be a steady and reliable scoring presence for the Warriors. Her ability to score efficiently, attack the glass, and lead on the offensive end played a key role in Life Pacific's conference efforts.

Puente's recognition marks another milestone in what has been a strong season, as she finished the season 2nd in the GSAC in points per game.
