Ayala Named GSAC Defender of the Week

San Dimas, CA - For the first time this season, senior libero, Allison Ayala, was named the GSAC Defender of the Week.  This is her second time in her career earning this recognition, as she was named it once last season.  Ayala was steady as usual on the backline for the Warriors, helping them take a split this past weekend on the road in Northern California.

DEFENDER OF THE WEEK - ALLISON AYALA

Ayala led the way for LPU defensively, as she totaled 50 digs on the weekend between the 2 matches, which came out to a 5 dig/set average.  Allison currently is 6th in the GSAC in digs/set average, as she is averaging 3.92/set on the season.  To go along with her defense, Ayala also had 3 service aces and a couple of assists on the weekend.
