Two Warriors Awarded GSAC Player of Week Honors
San Dimas, CA - Following the Warrior's stellar play this past weekend, two different Warriors were honored with GSAC Player of the Week recognition, Maddie Robertson and Kylie Proctor. Senior setter, Maddie Robertson, has been named the GSAC Setter of the Week, while Sophomore middle-blocker, Kylie Proctor, was named the GSAC Defender of the Week.
The Warriors went 2-0 this past weekend at home, as they defeated Arizona Christian in 4 sets and then came back on Saturday and swept OUAZ, who currently sits at 3rd in the GSAC standings. The Warriors still have hopes and their eyes set on postseason play as they remain 1 game out of the tournament, with their playoff chances riding on their match on Friday evening against 1st ranked, Master's University. The Warriors current record is 15-12 overall and are in 5th place in the GSAC as they are 6-7 in conference play.
SETTER OF THE WEEK - MADDIE ROBERTSON
Despite running a 6-2 formation, Robertson still finished with 40 total assists in 7 sets (5.71 assists/set) along with 23 total digs (3.29 digs/set). Her best game of the weekend was when she finished with a double-double against ACU, finishing with 20 assists and 16 digs.
DEFENDER OF THE WEEK - KYLIE PROCTOR
Proctor led the way defensively for the Warriors, finishing with 11 blocks on the weekend, while also finishing with 13 kills in the middle. Her best match of the weekend came on Friday, as she finished with 10 kills, while hitting .348, along with finishing with 5 blocks.
