LPU Women's Wrestling Hosts Wrestling Camp

SAN DIMAS, Calif. – Earlier this week the Life Pacific Warriors hosted their 2nd Annual Girl's Wrestling Camp on Mehl Court. After last year's successful turnout of nearly 40 wrestlers, the anticipation for this year's event was running high. The Warriors yet again delivered with a large number of participants. More than 50 wrestlers came out to LPU to be schooled in folkstyle and freestyle wrestling techniques including nearside cradles, underhooks, wrist side rolls, and a series of leg laces.

In addition to having a chance to learn from the LPU coaching staff, the campers were also able to interact and benefit from the presence of current Warrior wrestlers. Bobby Pinto (FR/Azusa, CA), Alexander Nunez (SO/NAIA All-American/Fontana, CA), Anthony Vargas (FR/Moreno Valley, CA), Shawheen Ghalambor (JR/San Dimas, CA), Anisa Garcia (FR/Ontario, CA), and Brittany Milligan (FR/Covina, CA) all devoted their time to help teach the youth at the camp.
