Warriors Set Program Steals Record in 84–50 Win Over Bethesda

San Dimas, Calif. — Life Pacific Men's Basketball put together one of its most dominant defensive performances in school history on Tuesday night, rolling past Bethesda University 84–50 and setting a new single-game program record with 20 steals. The victory pushes the Warriors to 8–3, officially marking the best start through 11 games in program history.

The Warriors established their identity early, swarming Bethesda with nonstop pressure that forced the Flames into 26 turnovers. LPU turned those mistakes into 34 points, creating separation before halftime and never looking back. Life Pacific also controlled the interior with a 61–46 rebounding advantage, including a massive 26 offensive boards that kept Bethesda on its heels all night.

Albert Matute fueled the offense with a breakout night, knocking down six three-pointers and finishing with 18 points on 6-for-9 shooting from deep. His rhythm behind the arc helped stretch the lead as LPU took a commanding 40–14 advantage into the break.

The bench played a huge role once again, contributing 51 points, led by Jordan Dollar, who continued his stellar stretch of form. Dollar provided energy on both ends, scoring 10 points, grabbing four rebounds, and recording three steals and a block while igniting several momentum-shifting runs.

Life Pacific's backcourt set the tone defensively, highlighted by Joby Barnes, who finished with 10 points, five assists, and three steals, and Jayceon Smith, who added seven points, four assists, and three rebounds. Inside, Ayden Hamilton anchored the paint with six points, ten rebounds, four assists, and three blocks, while Xerian Anderson added seven points and nine rebounds to round out a balanced team effort.

The Warriors led by as many as 41 points, showing complete command on both sides of the ball as they cruised to their eighth win of the season. With defensive intensity rising, depth producing at a high level, and the team continuing to make program history, Life Pacific is building momentum at the perfect time with GSAC competition underway.
